Once upon a time, in the faraway kingdom of Dor, there was magic in the air, raucous laughter aplenty and gallons of mouth-watering soup. But a terrible accident left the king broken-hearted, the princess filled with longing and the townsfolk despondent. All hope was lost in a land where sunlight disappeared and the world became dreary gray. Until Despereaux Tilling was born… A brave and virtuous mouse, Despereaux is simply too big for his small world. Though tiny, wheezy and saddled with comically oversized ears, Despereaux refuses to live a life of weakness and fear…believing he was destined to be celebrated in the tales of chivalry he so adores. When he’s banished from his home for not following the rules that society expects of a mouse, Despereaux befriends fellow outcast Roscuro, a good-hearted rat who can’t bear to look in the mirror and hopes to live far from the grim underground of his kind. While Despereaux begins his noble quest to rescue Pea–a princess who can’t see beyond her distorted view of the world–his pal Roscuro receives a painful rejection from her highness that sets him on a course of self-destruction. Along their parallel adventures, the two encounter colorful characters from a serving girl who wishes to be a princess to the evil leader of the sewer rats, who plots revenge on humans from his fiefdom in the subterranean shadows he relishes but Roscuro can’t abide. From the highest turrets of the glittering castle to the dankest dark of Dor’s sewers, friendships will be tested as Despereaux and Roscuro embark upon a journey that will change the way they look at their world-and themselves-forever. In this tale of bravery, forgiveness and redemption, one tiny creature will teach a kingdom that it takes only a little light to show that what you look like doesn’t equal what you are. © Universal Pictures

Stuart Little’s back in an all-new, all-animated movie! School’s out for the summer and the Little Family is spending their vacation at a beautiful lakeside cabin. Leading the way is Stuart, who can’t wait to spend his entire vacation canoeing, hiking and finding his inner scout. But, there is something lurking in the forest who could spoil all the fun: THE BEAST; a mean and isolated forest terror who rules the local animals with an iron paw. When Snowbell is taken prisoner, a Little bravery goes a long way as Stuart, along with his new friend, Reeko, a skunk, heroically rescues him, frees the other woodland creatures and outwits the wily Beast. It’s a big job for a Little mouse, but someone’s got to do it! Featuring the voice talents of Michael J. Fox, Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie and Wayne Brady as Stuart’s newest pal Reeko, it’s the next big thing in Little adventure!

n the two years since his last adventure, Stuart Little (Fox) has blossomed and settled nicely into his new life. He goes to school (in his very own car), is very handy when it comes to building model airplanes and is proud of the fact he made the soccer team. And he loves having a big brother, George (Lipnicki) and a new baby sister, Martha Little to play with. Even Snowbell (Lane), the curmudgeonly cat with an attitude, has warmed up to Stuart in his own way.

Even still, Stuart yearns for a friend of his own – someone like him. Driving home from school, Stuart hears a loud squawk and suddenly an injured bird falls out of the sky, landing in the passenger seat of his car. When she regains consciousness, the mysterious bird introduces herself as Margalo (Griffith). She tells Stuart she is being threatened by Falcon (Woods), a feared crime lord who terrorizes all creatures living in Manhattan.

Stuart invites her to stay at the Little’s home and she is welcomed by all, even Snowbell. But when she mysteriously vanishes, the unlikely duo of Stuart and Snowbell set out on a heart-pounding, hair-raising journey to find her.

Just whose backyard is it, anyway?

Spring has sprung, and Verne and his woodland friends awaken from their long winter’s nap to discover that a tall, green “thing” has mysteriously cropped up right through the middle of their home. Enter RJ, an opportunistic raccoon, who explains that the world beyond the hedge is the “gateway to the good life” where peculiar creatures called humans live to eat, rather than eat to live.

Suspicious and even a little jealous of RJ, the ever-cautious Verne wants to keep his blended family safely on their side of the hedge. But, proving the adage that one man’s garbage is another man’s—or rather animal’s—treasure, the manipulative RJ tries to convince the woodland band that there is little to fear and everything to gain from their over-indulgent new neighbors. Eventually, RJ and Verne form an unlikely friendship as they learn to co-exist with—and even exploit—this strange new world called suburbia.

Heading up an all-star voice cast, Bruce Willis is the voice of the mischievous con-artist raccoon named RJ, and Emmy winner Garry Shandling voices the overprotective turtle named Verne in the computer-animated comedy “Over the Hedge.”

Rounding out the voice cast of “Over the Hedge” are: Steve Carell as a hyperactive squirrel named Hammy; two-time Emmy winner William Shatner as Ozzie, a possum who excels at playing dead with a melodramatic flair; chart-topping recording artist Avril Lavigne as Ozzie’s daughter, Heather; Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, who are paired as the porcupine couple Penny and Lou, with a brood of little porcupine mouths to feed; comedienne Wanda Sykes as a sassy skunk named Stella; two-time Oscar® nominee Nick Nolte as a bear named Vincent; and Omid Djalili as a spoiled housecat named Tiger. On the human side, four-time Emmy winner Allison Janney plays Gladys, the president of the local homeowners’ association, who isn’t about to see her neighborhood overrun by wildlife; and Oscar® nominee Thomas Haden Church as “the Verminator,” whom Gladys hires to rid the area of our woodland heroes.

Based on the popular comic strip by Michael Fry and T Lewis, “Over the Hedge” is being directed by Tim Johnson (“Antz”) and Karey Kirkpatrick (“Chicken Run” screenwriter), making his directorial debut. Bonnie Arnold (“Toy Story,” “Tarzan”) is producing.

Pet / Animal Cast

When a common sewer rat named Syd (Shane Richie) comes spewing out of the sink and decides he’s hit the jackpot, Roddy schemes to rid himself of the pest by luring him into the “whirlpool.” Syd may be an ignorant slob, but he’s no fool, so it is Roddy who winds up being flushed away into the bustling sewer world of Ratropolis. There Roddy meets Rita (Kate Winslet), an enterprising scavenger who works the sewers in her faithful boat, the Jammy Dodger. Roddy immediately wants out, or rather, up; Rita wants to be paid for her trouble; and, speaking of trouble, the villainous Toad (Ian McKellen) — who royally despises all rodents — wants them iced — literally. The Toad dispatches his two hapless hench-rats, Spike (Andy Serkis) and Whitey (Bill Nighy), to get the job done. When they fail, the Toad has no choice but to send away to France for his cousin — that dreaded mercenary, Le Frog (Jean Reno).

When the Littles go to an orphanage to adopt a new family member, their son, George, insists on a little brother as opposed to a big one. His request is honored more literally than he ever imagined when a charming young mouse named Stuart is chosen. While George is disappointed and initially unwelcoming to his new brother, the family cat, Snowbell, is even less enthusiastic at the prospect of having a mouse as his “master” and plots to get rid of him. Against these difficulties, Stuart resolves to face them with as much pluck, love and courage as he can muster. In doing so, he shows his beloved new family that great things can truly come in small packages
